This is a postcard from my "Random Words 2012" series. In this piece, I combined photographs from one of my trips to New York City with chunks of text from my science fiction short story, An Orderly Life.
About me
I was born in Oakland, California, in 1949, and grew up in the nearby towns of Richmond and Concord.
In 1978, I married Andrew Alden (a freelance technical editor and the Geology Guide at about.com).
We live in Oakland, where we share an upstairs flat in a duplex with our cat, Joey.
